3. What causes this problem:

  • RSI – Repetitive Strain Injury

4. What is RSI?

  • It is micro trauma to muscles, tendons and nerves that runs through joints occurring through repetitive tasks.

5. Stages of RSI
Stage 1 Recovery in weeks – pain during work that eases off as soon as you leave job.
Stage 2 Recovery in months – pain that goes home with you and interferes with activities of daily livibg but disappears by morning.
Stage 3 Recovery in several months to 1 year – pain that wakes you up in the night and stays with you throughout the day.

6. Early Warning Signs of RSI

  • Difficulty in closing and opening hands.
  • Weakness and fatigue.
  • Stiffness and tremors
  • Reluctance to shake hands
  • Difficulty in using hands
  • Slumping postures especially towards end of the day
  • Frequent self massage
  • Waking up with pain and numbness
